ETL DEVELOPER (San Diego, CA): Dsgn & dvlpmt of ETL mappings, mapplets, sessions & workflows to load data from source to target DBs using Informatica Power Center & fine-tuned mappings to improve performance. Interact w/ customers to gather rqmts & business logics for dsgn & dvlpmt. Create Type 1 & Type 2 Slowly Changing Dimension Mappings to update slowly Changing Dimension DB Tables. Create & review Informatica ETL Mappings to load data using transformations like Source Qualifier, Sorter, Aggregator, Expression, Joiner, look-ups, Stored Procedure transformation, functions, Filters, Sequence, Router, Union & Update Strategy adhering to coding standards. Actively participate in data modeling; in implementation of Data Vault methodology; & in identifying Hub, Link & Satellite tables. Be involved in dimensional modeling & dsgn Star/Snowflake Data Models for Enterprise Data Warehouse. Write complex SQL scripts to avoid Informatica look-ups to improve performance. Dvlp Trend Lines, Statistics & Log Axes, groups, hierarchies, sets to create detail level summary report & Dashboard using KPIs (ix) Data Analysis, Data Integration & Data Modeling. Req. MS (or equiv) in CompSci, Engg (Comp/Elec/Mech/Ind) or a rltd fld & 2 yrs of exp in exp in position invol similar duties/technical capabilities to the offered position.
